What is yellow fever?
Yellow fever is a disease spread by mosquitoes. Most people who get yellow fever have mild to no symptoms, but the 12% that do develop serious symptoms can experience bleeding, shock, organ failure, or even death.

For most people, a lifetime of protection comes from just a single dose of the vaccine. Within 10 days, 80-100% of vaccinated people have full immunity, and over 99% have full immunity in 30 days.

Travel necessity
Depending on where you travel, the vaccine might be an essential requirement. You must receive the vaccine at least 10 days before entering another country where the vaccine is required.
