FAQ

What is a work physical exam?

A work physical exam is done by a doctor to make sure that an employee is well and capable to work or go back to work after an illness or injury.

What does a return-to-work physical consist of?

A return-to-work physical consists of a complete medical evaluation of a patient’s health, particularly the parts of the body that are required for that person’s job, to make sure that the risk of aggravating the previous illness or injury is very low.

Why do you need medical clearance?

A medical work clearance is often required by employers to determine if a previously sick or injured employee or a newly hired employee can safely do a specific job or task.

Are urgent care centers open after hours?

Yes. Most of our urgent care centers are open after hours, making health care more accessible for all residents in NYC.

Should I make an appointment for urgent care?

Not necessarily. Most urgent cares accept walk-in patients. But if you want shorter wait times, you can book an appointment through phone or online.

Can I go to urgent care for non-emergency?

Yes. You can go to urgent care for consultations, physicals, primary care, lab tests, and more.

Can I pay for my urgent care appointment without insurance?

If you have no insurance, we provide our services without insurance for self-pay patients, giving you the care when you need it most.

My daughter came in with stomach pain, and your doctor was able to diagnose that she probably had appendicitis. I took her to the emergency room, and she did have to have her appendix removed. Thank you so much for your help.

My visits have been fantastic both times I’ve gone. The woman at the front desk was courteous and professional, and prompt. The nurse was excellent. Same treatment as the front desk and the smoothest phlebotomist going. The doctor was great, calm, thorough, polite, and knowledgeable. I wish he were my GP. Overall? 11 out of 10.

I’ve been to Nao Medical, I think, three times, and their staff is delightful. If you are in dire pain, they take you in as soon as possible, if not sooner. The offices and exam rooms are spotless. All of the medical staff is very knowledgeable, patient, and understanding. I highly recommend it.

The staff and the doctors were all very kind and caring. I was very worried about my child’s health. I appreciate your clinic being open on Saturdays. This saved us a trip to the ER, which can be scary for a child. Thank you again!
