What is a testosterone panel test?
A testosterone panel test checks the level of testosterone in the blood of a patient. The results can help diagnose and treat medical conditions that may cause or are caused by abnormally high or low testosterone levels.
What does a testosterone test indicate?
A testosterone test is used to measure the level of the male sex hormone testosterone in the blood. The test results will indicate if it’s within normal levels, too low, or too high.
Who is qualified for a testosterone test?
Both men and women can get tested. Testosterone is a hormone produced in a male’s testes and is responsible for building a man’s muscles, deep voice, facial and body hair, penile growth, sperm production, and sex drive.
However, a female’s body also produces testosterone in their ovaries, but in smaller amounts. It helps maintain hormonal balance and regulate certain body functions.
How do I know if my testosterone is low?
Your testosterone level is most likely low if you have a reduced sex drive, erectile dysfunction, loss of body or facial hair, loss of muscle mass, fatigue, obesity, or symptoms of depression.
When should testosterone levels be checked?
A blood sample for a testosterone test is best taken between 7 to 10 o’clock in the morning when the testosterone level is at its highest.
Are urgent care centers open after hours?
Yes. Most of our urgent care centers are open after hours, making health care more accessible for all residents in NYC.
Should I make an appointment for urgent care?
Not necessarily. Most urgent cares accept walk-in patients. But if you want shorter wait times, you can book an appointment through phone or online.
Does insurance plan cover all urgent care services?
Most urgent care services are covered by insurance. Please contact your insurance plan provider directly for specific questions related to your coverage, deductible, & plan.
Can I go to urgent care without insurance?
Yes. If you need urgent care and you have no insurance, we offer affordable rates for all health care services we offer.

I’ve been to Nao Medical, I think, three times, and their staff is delightful. If you are in dire pain, they take you in as soon as possible, if not sooner. The offices and exam rooms are spotless. All of the medical staff is very knowledgeable, patient, and understanding. I highly recommend it.

I would like to thank a receptionist for being beyond kind and helpful. I came this Saturday morning, and she was the only one at the desk. Thank you so much for being a beautiful positive person. All the staff was also excellent.

My visits have been fantastic both times I’ve gone. The woman at the front desk was courteous and professional, and prompt. The nurse was excellent. Same treatment as the front desk and the smoothest phlebotomist going. The doctor was great, calm, thorough, polite, and knowledgeable. I wish he were my GP. Overall? 11 out of 10.

The staff and the doctors were all very kind and caring. I was very worried about my child’s health. I appreciate your clinic being open on Saturdays. This saved us a trip to the ER, which can be scary for a child. Thank you again!

My daughter came in with stomach pain, and your doctor was able to diagnose that she probably had appendicitis. I took her to the emergency room, and she did have to have her appendix removed. Thank you so much for your help.
