About urgent care for rashes

A rash is a rapid abnormal change in the skin. It can be caused by external factors, like plants or skin products, or by internal factors, like autoimmune disorders. Common traits of rashes include itchiness, redness, scaly patches, and fluid-filled blisters.

About our rash treatment and care

While some rashes clear up on their own, some may require medical intervention. If your rash is persistent, causes ongoing distress, and is accompanied by other non-life-threatening symptoms, seek urgent care services immediately.

Nao Medical (formerly Statcare) offers consultations, diagnostic tests, and immediate relief and medication for many types of rashes. We have clinics in various locations in NYC.

Before booking your appointment please note:

Ensure that your insurance benefits include urgent care or contact us to confirm if your individual/group insurance plan is eligible for use. Please dial 911 immediately if your medical problem appears to be life-threatening.

FAQ

How do I know if a rash is serious?

A rash is serious if it is all over your body, it comes with a high-grade fever, it appeared suddenly and spreads rapidly, it has open sores that are painful and infected, and if yellow or green fluid is oozing from it.

What foods cause skin rashes?

Common foods that cause skin rashes include peanuts, eggs, shellfish, wheat, and cow’s milk.

Should I make an appointment for urgent care for a rash?

Not necessarily. Most urgent cares accept walk-in patients. But if you want shorter wait times, you can book an appointment through phone or online.

What is the difference between emergency and urgent care?

The difference between emergency and urgent care is that emergency rooms in hospitals treat life-threatening conditions and injuries, whereas urgent care clinics treat illnesses and injuries that require immediate medical attention but are non-life-threatening.

Are your urgent care centers open after hours?

Yes. Most of our urgent care centers are open after hours, making health care more accessible for all residents in NYC.

Should I make an appointment for urgent care?

Not necessarily. Most urgent cares accept walk-in patients. But if you want shorter wait times, you can book an appointment through phone or online.

Can I go to urgent care for non-emergency?

Yes. You can go to urgent care for consultations, physicals, primary care, lab tests, and more.

Can I pay for urgent care appointment without insurance?

If you have no insurance, we provide our services without insurance for self-pay patients, giving you the care when you need it most.

My visits have been fantastic both times I’ve gone. The woman at the front desk was courteous and professional, and prompt. The nurse was excellent. Same treatment as the front desk and the smoothest phlebotomist going. The doctor was great, calm, thorough, polite, and knowledgeable. I wish he were my GP. Overall? 11 out of 10.

My daughter came in with stomach pain, and your doctor was able to diagnose that she probably had appendicitis. I took her to the emergency room, and she did have to have her appendix removed. Thank you so much for your help.

The staff and the doctors were all very kind and caring. I was very worried about my child’s health. I appreciate your clinic being open on Saturdays. This saved us a trip to the ER, which can be scary for a child. Thank you again!

I’ve been to Nao Medical, I think, three times, and their staff is delightful. If you are in dire pain, they take you in as soon as possible, if not sooner. The offices and exam rooms are spotless. All of the medical staff is very knowledgeable, patient, and understanding. I highly recommend it.
