“However, for severe cases recovery can take up to six weeks or more. If your symptoms continue for more than 12 weeks, we recommend you get evaluated for “Long COVID.”

Who can be affected by Long COVID?

Anyone can be affected by Post-COVID Persistent Symptoms however it’s more prevalent in people who are older or have underlying medical issues before contracting COVID-19.

What should I do if I have post-COVID-19 syndrome symptoms?

If you’re having symptoms of post-COVID-19 syndrome, set an appointment with your medical provider, this can be in-person or through a virtual visit . Be sure to also write down or make a note of the symptoms you’re experiencing, how often, when it started (if you can remember) and how it’s affected you. Once you’ve provided this information your health care provider comes up with a treatment plan.
