About Dr. Verenisse Torres

Verenisse joined Nao Medical’s Jackson Heights branch after graduating from medical residency in Chicago, where she served as chief resident. She’s board certified and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). She’s passionate about being her patients’ first point of contact when they start navigating the healthcare system. She sees patients of all ages, and her goal as a Primary Care Physician is to form a lasting partnership with my patients to prevent, understand and manage their illnesses. Verenisse has worked extensively with vulnerable populations with a high prevalence of hypertension, diabetes, obesity, drug addiction, and victims of domestic violence, to name a few. This empowers her future goal to continue providing patients with high-quality, caring, empathic care. I also aim to improve health literacy among patients.

Why is health and wellness important to you?

Health is the vehicle to live a productive life.

How do you approach or help your patients?

I get to know my patient as a whole and approach their care according to their specific needs.

Why do you love working at Nao Medical?

I choose to work at Nao Medical because it is a brand that takes pride in delivering high quality care to patients. I appreciate that it serves a wide variety of communities as there are branches dispersed throughout the 5 boroughs with plans to expand even further.
